Mission Statement:

BWH Primary Care is "dedicated to providing the highest quality primary care with emphasis on continuity of care, preventive medicine, and health promotion.” The primary goal of the BWPC PBRN is to advance this mission by creating and promoting a community of primary care clinicians and investigators collaborating in scholarly activity to improve the practice and outcomes of primary care. In fulfilling this goal, the BWPC PBRN, guided by its Steering Committee, will work to ensure that research, quality improvement projects, and scholarship performed in the BWH Primary Care Practices: 1. Is consonant with the mission, values and priorities of the BWH Primary Care Practices 2. Has relevance and validity to the diversity of our practices, patients, and communities 3. Bridges the divide between researchers and clinicians to the benefit of researchers, clinicians, the work in question, our staff, and our patients; 4. Does not place an undue burden on our practices and ideally provides resources to the practices; and 5. Encourages front-line clinicians’ involvement early in project development to foster promotion, job satisfaction, and the quality and relevance of the work.
